Westgate is a predominantly residential neighbourhood in the western part of Mitchells Plain within the City of Cape Town Metropolitan Municipality in the Western Cape and therefore has no separate district municipality. Mnandi Beach provides parking, picnic and braai facilities, a tidal pool, toilets and seasonal lifeguard services. Visitors should use established public facilities, check current opening and beach conditions and remain aware of their surroundings when travelling through unfamiliar urban areas.
