Eastridge is a densely populated residential neighbourhood in Mitchells Plain within the City of Cape Town Metropolitan Municipality in the Western Cape. As part of a metropolitan municipality, it has no separate district municipality. It lies on the Cape Flats between Mitchells Plain Town Centre, Beacon Valley, Lentegeur and Portland, about 25 kilometres south-east of central Cape Town. Spine Road, Alpine Road, Imperial Street, AZ Berman Drive and nearby connections to the R300 serve the area, while Mitchells Plain railway station and the Town Centre transport interchange are close by. Eastridge developed as part of the large Mitchells Plain housing project created during the apartheid era for families classified as Coloured. Wolfgat protects endangered Cape Flats Dune Strandveld and coastal archaeological remains and offers walking, birdwatching and nature photography.
